Frequency Analysis

A strong resonant pulse is found at 502Hz (roughly a B4 note) and another peak is found at 938Hz (roughly a B♭5 note). Other strong pulses are found at 687Hz and 1416Hz. Many more higher harmonics are also perceived.

Note that most chimes are tuned using "Just Intonation" - meaning they are tuned mathematically perfectly, and not the compromised system of "Equal Temperament" used on most modern instruments.
